We are hiring for both part time and full time but priority is for part time.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Coder to join our team on a part-time, remote basis. This role is open to candidates located anywhere within the United States. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating healthcare services, diagnoses, procedures, and equipment into standardized alphanumeric codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS), ensuring accuracy and compliance to support efficient billing and reimbursement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review patient records, physician notes, and lab reports for accuracy and completeness
  • Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT®, and HCPCS Level II codes
  • Ensure compliance with coding guidelines, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards
  • Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify incomplete or ambiguous documentation
  • Support billing processes by ensuring accurate and timely coding
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Medical Coder
  • Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT®, and HCPCS Level II coding systems
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance, and privacy standards (HIPAA)
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certification such as CPC (Certified Professional Coder), CCS, or equivalent
  • Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Prior experience in a remote coding role
