You have advanced knowledge of IONM (Intraoperative Neuromonitoring) billing, including out-of-network reimbursement strategy, modifier stacking, payer disputes, and maximizing claim reimbursement. This role requires stepping in quickly to contribute to a Dallas-based consulting firm project.
Responsibilities include coding and submitting claims for IONM services using CPT codes such as 95940, 95941, G0453; managing out-of-network billing including payer negotiations, appeals, and reimbursement follow-up; establishing and optimizing billing workflows; resolving claim denials and disputes; ensuring compliance with payer-specific billing requirements; and maintaining documentation for audits.
Ideal candidates have direct experience coding and billing for IONM services, understand out-of-network billing processes including claims, appeals, payer contracts, and disputes, hold relevant certifications like CPC, CCS, or CPMA (preferred but not mandatory if experience is strong), are Texas-based or willing to onboard onsite in Dallas before transitioning to remote work, and can start immediately while working independently under pressure.
- Direct hands-on experience coding and billing for IONM/intraoperative neuromonitoring services (mandatory)
- Working knowledge of out-of-network billing: claims, appeals, payer contracts, reimbursement disputes
