Pride Health is looking for a Part Time PB Cardiac Surgery Coder (Professional Billing) to support our client’s medical facility which is 100% remote.

Location: 100% remote

Pay range: $30 - $35 per hour on W2.

Length of assignment: 13 weeks

Schedule: Remote, Part-Time (up to 20 hours per week)

The PB Cardiac Surgery Coder is responsible for accurately reviewing and coding physician documentation related to cardiac surgery procedures. This role ensures compliance with coding standards while supporting billing accuracy, reimbursement processes, and data integrity. The position requires strong expertise in ICD-10-CM and CPT coding, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and interpret operative reports and physician documentation to accurately assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes.
Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with established standards and guidelines.
Maximize charge capture through precise coding practices.
Act as a liaison between clinical and billing departments, addressing inquiries in a timely manner.
Review and analyze medical records to ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness for reimbursement and reporting purposes.
Maintain productivity and quality standards.
Participate in coding seminars, departmental meetings, and educational sessions.
Uphold confidentiality standards and maintain professional customer service in all interactions.

Required Qualifications:

Certifications: CCS-P (Certified Coding Specialist – Physician-based) or CPC (Certified Professional Coder) required.
Minimum 3+ years of experience in PB Cardiac Surgery coding.
Proficiency in ICD-10-CM and CPT coding.
Strong ability to abstract codes from provider documentation.
