Reporting to the Senior Manager, Medical Coding & Audit, the Senior Medical Coding Analyst will ensure CodaMetrix meets and exceeds customers' coding quality expectations. The role involves reviewing, analyzing, and enhancing coding processes across service lines, collaborating cross-functionally with Machine Learning, Product, and Customer Implementation teams to improve the quality and efficiency of coding operations.
Responsibilities include analyzing and documenting customer coding practices and workflows, identifying best practices for coding automation, assisting with Coding Quality Assessment projects, serving as a subject matter expert on medical coding and billing, providing expert guidance to support Machine Learning and Product teams, developing and delivering training materials, maintaining coding and billing certifications, ensuring compliance and accuracy, and supporting customer implementations with coding expertise.
Qualifications include holding a current AHIMA or AAPC coding credential for 5+ years, 5+ years coding and auditing experience with progressive responsibility, required CPC, CCS, and/or CIRCC certification (radiology-specific), demonstrated experience with CPT coding in pathology (radiology coding experience preferred), excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and ability to work in fast-paced environments with a team-oriented approach.
The position is full-time, exempt, hybrid/remote based in Boston, MA.
