GeBBS Healthcare Solutions is a leader in Health Information Management and Revenue Cycle Management dedicated to excellence and collaboration in healthcare. We are seeking credentialed Outpatient Coder Specialists (part time) with minimum 3 years experience.
As an Outpatient Facility Coding Specialist, you will code all diseases, operations, and procedures for outpatients per ICD-10-CM, UHDDS, and AMA CPT-4 standards. Expertise with large trauma Level I facilities is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Code outpatient procedures as per client specifications.
- Abstract patient data with accuracy and compliance.
- Keep updated on coding policies; clarify unclear info.
- Use healthcare abstracting software and ICD-10 data sets.
- Initiate physician queries according to client procedures.
- Communicate regulatory changes to Coding Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Credentialed medical coder with at least 3 years experience.
- AHIMA preferred; AAPC considered.
- Experience in facility outpatient coding for large trauma Level I facilities essential; IR/Cath experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Working hours between 6a-6:30p Pacific time, Mon-Fri.
- Temp part-time role (20 hours/week) through mid-September.
- US Based.
