Reviews and completes the medical coding and pricing of the Allocation Worksheets and Calculation spreadsheets prepared by the Analysts.
- Supports the preparation and review of the Allocation worksheet.
- Prices Durable Medical Equipment (DME), facility & medical procedures and surgeries, and prescription medications.
- Analyzes and interprets Allocation worksheet to ensure accurate coding of diagnoses, procedures, and services.
- Applies appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and fee schedules based on coding guidelines.
- Enters the appropriate medical procedure code, NDC prescription drug code, and price in the Case Management System.
- Strictly adheres to company confidentiality policies and procedures, safeguarding sensitive information at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience with CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding, and working knowledge of NDC codes
- Experience with Workers’ Compensation or Liability across multiple jurisdictions
- Working knowledge of Medicare system, remittance, and reimbursement policies
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Strong mathematics and Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience coding and billing Orthopedic and Pain Management procedures and surgeries
Preferred Certifications:
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and/or Certified Professional Biller (CPB)
