We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Coder to work fully remotely. This role involves coding inpatient records using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS, reviewing detailed clinical documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance with CMS and regulatory standards, communicating with providers for documentation clarification, managing a steady volume of complex cases, and adapting to evolving workflows and priorities.
Candidates must hold RHIT, RHIA, or CCS certification and have at least 3 years of inpatient coding experience, preferably in large hospitals (500+ beds). Strong command of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding is required. Experience with Epic or Solventum is preferred.
This direct hire contractor position offers $38–$40 per hour compensation, medical, dental, vision benefits, 401(k), and paid time off. Work location is fully remote within the U.S.
