The County of Riverside - Riverside University Health System Medical Records Department is hiring multiple Certified Medical Records Coders for outpatient coding. Responsibilities include advanced coding and abstracting of outpatient medical records using the latest ICD-CM and CPT coding systems, entering data into the computer system, and querying physicians as needed. The role emphasizes outpatient coding guidelines, Ambulatory Payment Classification (APC) System, and CPT code assignment, differing from inpatient coding which involves complex codes and DRG assignment. New hires must work in-office for 10 weeks, with potential for a hybrid schedule thereafter based on performance. Applicants must upload transcripts, licenses, or certificates for interview consideration.
