Lead Inpatient Coder

We are hiring a Lead Inpatient Coder to lead and support a team of 11 coders in a high-priority growth environment. This role entails reviewing accounts after coding to ensure accuracy and compliance, working with Claimedics edits and handling escalations, supporting coding questions from internal staff and provider offices, providing oversight and guidance to the coding team, ensuring coding compliance, reimbursement accuracy, and timely billing, and staying current on ICD-10-CM guidelines and federal/state reimbursement regulations. This is a critical role focused on maintaining coding quality and revenue integrity.

This position is 100% remote but limited to candidates in TX, AZ, UT, FL, ID, OR, WA, requiring work during PST hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Requirements include 5–8+ years of inpatient facility and/or professional fee coding experience, expert-level ICD-10-CM diagnostic and procedure coding knowledge, CPC, CCS, and/or CCS-P certification, strong understanding of coding compliance across all encounter types, proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, and the ability to thrive in a professional fully remote culture. Experience with Donor Accounts is a plus.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • 5–8+ years inpatient facility/professional fee coding experience
  • Expert-level ICD-10-CM diagnostic and procedure coding knowledge
  • CPC, CCS, and/or CCS-P certification required
  • Strong understanding of coding compliance across all encounter types
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work PST hours in a fully remote environment
  • Nice to have: Experience with Donor Accounts
