The salary range for this position is $29.13 - $39.32 (Hourly Rate).

The Outpatient Coder II supports the organization's mission and complies with ethics and compliance policies. This role requires following ICD-10-CM Official Guidelines and Coding Clinics, maintaining at least 95% coding accuracy, and meeting productivity standards.
Responsibilities include coding complex outpatient encounters such as Observation stays, Same Day Surgery, Surgery Center, and outpatient beds. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, HCPCS, CPT codes and modifiers, and resolving NCCI Edits with approved hospital modifiers is essential.
Qualifications:
- Credentialed by AHIMA (e.g., RHIT, RHIA, or CCS) with 20-30 CE credits every two years
- 3-4 years of coding experience in an acute healthcare setting
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 4 years of acute care coding experience
