Position Summary:
The Pro Fee Coder in General Surgery is responsible for maintaining current and high-quality ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS and/or CPT coding for inpatient and outpatient diagnoses and procedural occurrences by reviewing clinical documentation and diagnostic results. The coder must maintain a consistent coding accuracy rate of 95% or better.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately abstract data into all appropriate health electronic medical record systems.
- Verify accurate patient dispositions and physician data.
- Follow Official ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS Guidelines for Coding and Reporting and AMA CPT Guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Preferred specialty certification in General Surgery through AAPC (COBGC).
- Must be proficient with EMR/Coding using EPIC.
- Minimum 2 years of experience required.
- Availability to work full-time.

- Temporary to permanent assignment.
- Length of assignment: 12 Weeks.
- Full-time position (40 hours per week).
