At Sprinter Health, our mission is to reimagine how people access care by bringing it directly into their homes. Many patients skip preventive or chronic care due to lack of access, leading to costly emergency room visits. Using advanced technology platforms, Sprinter Health delivers care to patients where they are, supporting over 2 million patients across 22 states.
As a Medical Coder, you will review and abstract professional medical records to assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS codes, and modifiers following guidelines. You will ensure all codes are supported by documentation, query providers as needed, maintain coding quality metrics, participate in audits, and stay current with coding updates and compliance standards.
You will thrive in this role if you pride yourself on accuracy, are motivated by improving access to care, enjoy a tech-forward and fast-paced environment, can work independently in a remote setting, and see coding as a critical skill in translating clinical stories into meaningful data.
Qualifications include active AAPC or AHIMA certification, minimum 3 years of professional fee coding experience, strong knowledge of HCC and risk adjustment coding principles, excellent medical terminology command, proficiency with EHR systems and coding software, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and a reliable remote work setup.
