Senior Coder

Metro Vein Centers is a rapidly growing healthcare practice specializing in advanced vein treatments to improve quality of life by relieving symptoms of vein disease such as varicose veins and heavy, aching legs. With over 60 clinics across 7 states, it provides compassionate, patient-first care with high patient satisfaction.

In this senior coder role, you will be a key resource for the coding team, guiding coders through coaching and mentoring, performing audits to ensure coding accuracy and compliance, and supporting claims processing. You will collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure complete documentation, maintain updated coding knowledge, and assist with training and daily operations alongside the Coding Supervisor.

Key responsibilities include accurate code assignment (ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS), auditing team coding for accuracy and compliance, educating coders, resolving payer rejections or denials, updating code sets, and maintaining regulatory compliance including HIPAA.

Minimum qualifications include advanced coding knowledge, strong attention to detail, EMR navigation skills, and effective communication. Required certifications include CPC, CCS, RHIT or equivalent, plus a minimum of 4 years medical coding experience, with multi-specialty or vascular coding preferred. Experience with GE Centricity/Athena EMR and at least one year remote work experience is preferred. The role requires travel 5-10% to West Bloomfield, MI and candidates must reside in one of the operating states: NY, NJ, MI, PA, CT, TX, AZ, IL, GA.
