Medical Record Coder 4 - Inpatient

Inova Systems Operations is seeking a dedicated Medical Records Coder 4 for Inpatient to assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for appropriate Diagnosis Related Group assignments. This full-time day shift role offers a negotiable schedule and is eligible for remote work for candidates residing in VA, MD, DC, DE, FL, GA, NC, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, and WV.

Responsibilities include assigning Diagnosis Related Groups, Discharge Dispositions, admission sources, procedure dates, performing providers, and Present on Admission status indicators supported by medical record documentation for inpatient records. The role requires ensuring coding records meet productivity standards and quality expectations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years of facility inpatient coding experience with ICD-10-CM/PCS
  • Certification such as RHIA, RHIT, or CCS
