Position Overview: The Profee Coder for Orthopedics is responsible for maintaining accurate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and/or CPT coding for inpatient and outpatient diagnoses and procedures related to orthopedics. This involves reviewing clinical documentation and diagnostic results, ensuring a coding accuracy rate of at least 95%, and accurately abstracting data into relevant electronic medical records systems such as Epic. Coding must follow Official ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS Guidelines for Coding and Reporting and AMA CPT Guidelines.
