Requirements & Qualifications

Ability to abstract health information utilizing current coding guidelines on various patient types.

Education: Bachelors of Science or Associates in Applied Arts/Science or equivalent years of experience.

Actively seek to obtain certification with AHIMA as RHIA, RHIT, CCS and/or with AAPC as CPC, COC, CIC, or other equivalent coding certification.

Minimum of one year of professional coding experience required.
