Medical Records Coder II

BayCare is currently seeking a Medical Records Coder II passionate about outstanding customer service. This is a full-time remote position (candidates must reside in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, or South Carolina) with a shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities include assigning diagnosis and procedural codes using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT-4 coding systems, monitoring bill hold reports, assisting management with mentoring/training Coder I team members and clinical practice students, and performing other assigned duties.

Preferred certifications include CCS (Coding) and RHIT (Health Information). Education requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent, with preference for an associate degree in Health Information Management. A minimum of 2 years of medical coding experience is required.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must reside in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, or South Carolina.
