GulfShore Endoscopy Center is hiring a Front Desk Receptionist Medical Records on a full-time basis.
The Front Desk Receptionist Medical Records interfaces with patients and families, physicians, and staff; admits patients and processes their paperwork; updates patient demographics/information in the system; collects monies due and documents in the billing system; handles funds per office procedure; answers incoming phone calls.
Under the direction of the Business Office Manager, this role reports to the Office Manager and supervises no staff. Responsible for covering any aspect of the business office necessary. Maintains the practice's medical records according to established guidelines and requirements. Reviews records for compliance with approved policies.
Minimum 1-2 years of hospital or medical records experience required. Knowledge of The Joint Commission Standards. Ability to use time wisely in preparing work area to meet high-paced demand. Must be detail oriented and able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional manner. Must adhere to hospital financial and admitting policies. Ability to promote positive relationships with patients and staff. Knowledge of insurance verification and collection processes. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Professional appearance. Excellent phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills.
