Prepare and submit insurance claims using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring timely processing.
Verify insurance coverage, follow up on unpaid or denied claims, and perform medical collections when necessary.
Maintain comprehensive and organized medical records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and coding standards.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation discrepancies and optimize reimbursement accuracy.
Stay current with updates in ICD coding systems, CPT coding guidelines, and DRG classifications to ensure compliance.
Support billing audits by providing detailed reports on coding accuracy and claim status.
