Field Reimbursement Manager

The Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) is the primary field expert in billing and reimbursement for this innovative technology. This role supports healthcare providers, billing professionals, and administrators in navigating coverage and payment for neuromodulation services. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate and compliant coding and billing, educating customers on billing best practices, supporting prior authorization, claims submission, appeals, and denial management.

The FRM collaborates with commercial, revenue cycle, and provider teams to streamline workflows, address reimbursement challenges, and optimize appeal strategies. This role requires frequent travel (up to 50%) to provider sites across the U.S., primarily onsite support and education, with a preference for remote work based in Central U.S.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Minimum Associate's degree in healthcare administration, health information technology, or related field; Bachelor's preferred.
  • 5+ years medical billing and coding experience with strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer workflows.
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required; Certified Outpatient Coder is a plus.
  • Experience supporting reimbursement for innovative medical technologies and handling claims, denials, and appeals.
  • Deep knowledge of revenue codes, behavioral health and neurology coding, outpatient hospital settings, and novel technologies adoption.
  • Familiarity with Category III CPT codes, prior authorization, appeals, and CMS review timelines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and familiar with EMR/EHR and billing platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to educate various provider audiences.
  • Strong analytical and independent thinking skills to provide strategic reimbursement recommendations.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory environment and compliance obligations.
  • Preferred familiarity with neuromodulation, behavioral health, psychiatry, or TMS.
