Medical Coder

PM KIDZ - Primary and Acute Care

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Pediatric Medical Coder to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of pediatric coding guidelines, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to ensure accurate and timely coding to support optimal reimbursement and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for pediatric services
  • Review provider documentation to ensure coding accuracy and completeness
  • Identify and correct coding errors or discrepancies prior to claim submission
  • Work closely with providers and billing team to resolve coding issues and denials
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and payer-specific regulations
  • Assist with audits and provide feedback/training to providers when needed
  • Stay up to date on coding changes, especially related to pediatrics and behavioral health
  • Support denial management and appeals related to coding issues

Qualifications:

  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalent certification (required)
  • Minimum 2+ years of medical coding experience (pediatrics strongly preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
  • Experience with EMR systems (eClinicalWorks preferred)
  • Familiarity with Medicaid and commercial payer guidelines
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

  • Medical billing: 3 years (Required)
Requirements & Qualifications
