Palmetto Surgery Center, a privately owned outpatient surgical facility focusing on ENT, pediatric dentistry, and cataract procedures, is seeking a Certified Professional Coder to ensure accurate coding and billing for surgical procedures.
Responsibilities include collecting daily billing sheets, verifying CPT code accuracy, entering charges, transmitting claims to insurers, managing cosmetic case billing, sending patient statements weekly, assisting with AR research, checking EOBs, updating CPT codes, performing state budget and sales tax reports, assisting with collections and rejected claims, maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA, and supporting various special projects.
This position requires a CPC or CPCA certification by the AAPC, experience in medical coding preferably in outpatient surgery, strong knowledge of medical terminology and billing processes, familiarity with ICD-10 coding, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Hourly pay: $20 - $23.00 (annualized salary not specified).
