Supervisor, RCM Coding

We are seeking an experienced Supervisor, RCM Coding to lead and support a high-performing coding team in a dynamic Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) environment, focusing on emergency medicine coding and PatientKeeper workflows. This leadership role involves ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely coding practices, mentoring staff, and driving operational excellence.

  • Oversee day-to-day direction of the RCM Coding team to meet productivity and quality standards.
  • Partner with management to audit charge capture and coding accuracy per ICD-10 CM guidelines.
  • Train and onboard new coding staff.
  • Review and resolve coding edits, denials, and errors within PatientKeeper and MMIS.
  • Identify coding trends and recommend improvements.
  • Assist with billing corrections, reconciliation, and risk management.
  • Manage hiring, performance, and payroll support.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with PHI security.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years as a certified AAPC coder.
  • Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and medical terminology.
  • Experience with Medicaid, Managed Care, BCBS, and commercial payors.
  • Proficiency in coding workflows, charge capture, PatientKeeper (strongly preferred).
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Preferred: 3+ years supervisory experience, Associate's or Bachelor's degree, and COC or similar certification.
