Join Mountain Communities Healthcare District as a Certified or Experienced Medical Coder in a full-time, benefited position working Monday through Friday, day shift.
Key responsibilities include coding emergency room, outpatient, ambulatory surgery, and inpatient charts using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and hospital guidelines. Additional duties involve assembling, evaluating, and scanning medical records; reviewing, analyzing, scanning, and filing emergency room, outpatient, and inpatient records; processing and distributing admission and discharge data; and preparing birth certificates according to hospital and state requirements.
Ideal candidates have a Certified Coding Certificate (or are currently in school for the certificate, or have equivalent experience), knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding, familiarity with alphabetic and terminal digit filing systems, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least one year of medical billing experience, at least one year of office or hospital clerical experience, and intermediate computer skills.
Starting wage is $26/hour plus benefits.
