This is a remote role with 1 to 2 weeks of onsite training.
Job Title: Inpatient Medical Coder (Remote)
Location: New York, NY
Shift: 8hr Day Shift
Contract: 13 weeks
Weekly hours: 40 hours weekly
Pay: $800 to $1100 weekly
Job Description:
- Medical coding in an acute care setting
- Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, ICD 9 CM, CPT 4, Encoder
- Knowledge of coding guidelines, payor guidelines, federal billing guidelines, anatomy, physiology & disease processes
- Ability to research coding related issues
- Competence in coder training
- Must have CCS certification and knowledge with 3M/HDS coding application
- Inpatient and ED experience required
Requirements:
- AHIMA, RHIA or RHIT and/or CCP, CCS certification
- 3+ years of Medical Coding experience
- Knowledge of ICD codes
