Northern Colorado Rehabilitation Hospital is a state-of-the-art inpatient facility providing specialized care for patients recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, orthopedic conditions, and other complex medical issues. The HIM Manager/Coder is part of the hospital’s leadership team, collaborating closely with the CEO and Clinical Directors.
The role requires passion for coding, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Key responsibilities include providing expertise on coding and classification systems to healthcare providers, improving reimbursement and revenue cycle processes, timely chart coding in compliance with ICD-10 and AHA coding guidelines, supporting Health Information Services department, and supervising HIM personnel.
Preferred qualifications include a minimum of 2 years of inpatient or outpatient coding experience and certification such as CPC, CCS, CIC, RHIT, or RHIA through AHIMA or AAPC.
