Baystate Ob/Gyn Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented part-time Certified Professional Coder to join our in-person billing department team.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of CPC experience and comprehensive knowledge of medical coding standards and billing procedures for ob/gyn services, both in-office and hospital settings. This role involves translating clinical documentation into precise CPT and ICD-10 codes to facilitate billing, reimbursement, and regulatory compliance. Your coding expertise supports seamless medical office operations and quality patient care.
Required Certification:
- Active and ongoing Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification is required.
Duties include:
- Review and analyze medical documentation to assign accurate CPT and ICD-10 codes.
- Code outpatient and inpatient procedures, diagnoses, and treatments per guidelines.
- Collaborate with providers and billing staff to clarify documentation and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain current knowledge of coding regulations, payer policies, and standards.
- Use EMR/EHR systems effectively for coding and record management.
- Assist in billing processes by verifying codes for claims.
- Conduct medical record audits to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support training initiatives on coding practice updates and regulations.
Skills:
- Strong communication and organizational skills.

- Extensive knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
