Retina Sacramento MSO LLC

Join a local growing private medical practice specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of retina and vitreous diseases. Work with nationally recognized physicians and receive on-the-job training to advance your skills and knowledge. The practice has multiple locations across Northern California including Sacramento, Grass Valley, Roseville, Stockton, Modesto, Merced, Fairfield, Elk Grove, Folsom, Yuba City, and Chico.

Responsibilities include processing paper and electronic fee tickets, applying modifiers and CPT coding, reviewing chart documentation, processing claim recodes and rejections, transmitting claims through clearinghouse, and reconciling retina drug reports.

Preferred qualifications include prior charge coding and/or medical billing experience or certification, knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding, insurance submittal procedures, experience with NextGen systems, ophthalmic technician experience, and strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Physical requirements: sitting and viewing computer screens up to 85% of the time, keyboarding up to 90%, standing up to 25%, lifting and bending up to 45%, close visual acuity necessary for accuracy.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior charge coding and/or medical billing experience and/or certification preferred
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding
  • Knowledge of insurance submittal procedures and medical forms
  • Experience with NextGen systems
  • Ophthalmic Technician experience preferred
  • Ability to work as a team and learn new systems quickly
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment
