This is a remote role.
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated coding professional to join our team as a Contract Coder. The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of coding experience for physician practices, covering various surgical specialties as well as evaluation and management (E/M).
You will be responsible for accurately coding medical records for evaluation and management services, ancillary services, surgical procedures, and diagnoses. You should be resourceful, organized, and driven, able to work independently and meet project deadlines.
The position requires staying updated with changing coding rules and maintaining strict confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information in compliance with HIPAA.
Certification Requirements:
- CPC or CCS-P required
- CPMA, CEMC preferred
- Additional certifications like COSC, CPCD, CEDC, CGIC, CGSG, CANPC, CHONC, CIRCC, COBGC, COPC preferred
