Modern Pain Consultants is a renowned Interventional Pain Practice committed to providing exceptional patient care and innovative pain management solutions. This is a full-time position suited for a seasoned, talented medical coder who is computer savvy and familiar with EMR systems, specifically EMA (experience with EMA is beneficial but not required). The role offers a long-term, stable position with opportunities for advancement.

The Medical Coder will adhere to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance program, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Duties include performing CPT and ICD-10 coding by abstracting medical records focused on Evaluation and Management services, providing documentation feedback to physicians, maintaining coding reference information, training physicians and staff on documentation, billing, and coding, and resolving coding edits.

The coder will also collaborate with Patient Accounting and Billing departments to assist with coding reimbursement, identify and resolve incorrect claims, and support appeals processes. The position requires meeting established productivity and quality standards for coding encounters.
