Virginia Heart is Northern Virginia's premier cardiovascular practice known for excellence. We are seeking experienced professionals to join our outpatient cardiology team where culture is built on trust and integrity.
Responsibilities include:
- Working assigned charges in Charge work queues
- Coding charges and updating them for correct billing
- Understanding insurance requirements for diagnosis codes and coding
- Monitoring workflows and reporting improvements
- Assisting follow-up team reviewing and correcting charges timely
- Reporting new trends or issues to Team Lead
- Performing other assigned duties by Manager or Assistant Manager
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certified Professional Coder
- Expertise in CPT and ICD-10 CM coding
- Detail oriented
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- EPIC experience preferred
- Minimum 5 years healthcare billing experience (office, hospital, or physician practice) preferred
- Minimum 3 years healthcare coding experience
- Knowledge of third-party payers
- Ability to work under pressure and communicate with management effectively
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certified Professional Coder
- CPT and ICD-10 CM coding expertise
- Detail oriented
- Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency
- EPIC experience preferred
- Minimum 5 years healthcare billing experience preferred
- Minimum 3 years healthcare coding experience
