Facility Inpatient Coder Analyst

Responsibilities include auditing inpatient coding charts, analyzing audit results, identifying compliance issues, providing feedback to coding teams, collaborating with regulators and internal teams, delivering compliance training, and supporting coding leadership with quality data reporting.

The job supports telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. with some location-specific office requirements. It requires expert knowledge of coding standards, regulatory guidelines, and experience working with CDI and quality leadership.

This role offers a comprehensive benefits package, career development opportunities, and a salary range from $60,200 to $107,400 annually.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • AAPC or AHIMA certification (CCS, CPC, RHIT, or RHIA)
  • Minimum 5 years of inpatient facility coding and auditing experience
  • At least 1 year working collaboratively with CDI and quality leadership
  • Experience with computer-assisted coding technologies and EMR workflows
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

Preferred:

  • Outpatient coding or review experience
  • Knowledge of federal/state healthcare regulations and accreditation standards (CMS, TJC)
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to interact effectively at multiple organizational levels and with external auditors
  • Personal presence reflecting honesty, integrity, and motivation aligned with company values
