This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees work typical business hours with occasional overtime or weekends as needed.

Training is provided virtually from home. Telecommuting from anywhere within the U.S. is allowed.

Responsibilities include utilizing resources to identify appropriate medical codes, applying understanding of coding subject areas and clinical documentation, using coding software, and adhering to coding guidelines. The role involves managing multiple work demands, responding to quality audits, educating others to improve coding quality, and maintaining certifications.

Required qualifications include a High School Diploma/GED, AAPC CPC or AHIMA CCS/RHIT/RHIA certification, 3+ years of CPT & ICD coding experience, and proficiency with PC software. Ability to work business hours and occasional overtime is required.

Preferred qualifications include AHFI or CFE certification, RN or LPN license, and experience in production environments including claim processing and insurance billing.

Soft skills needed are multitasking, teamwork, communication, and critical thinking.

Pay range is $23.89 to $42.69 per hour based on employment factors. Benefits include comprehensive packages, incentive programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contributions.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Certified Coder with AAPC (CPC) or AHIMA (CCS, RHIT, RHIA) credentials
  • Minimum 3 years coding experience with CPT and ICD, including surgical, hospital, and clinic settings
  • Intermediate proficiency with PC software
  • Ability to work standard business hours and occasional overtime/weekends
  • Preferred: AHFI or CFE certification, Licensed RN or LPN
  • Preferred: experience in claim processing, provider demographics, insurance billing
  • Strong multitasking, teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
