Work remotely anywhere within the U.S. tackling challenging coding assignments.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Assigning CPT and ICD-10 codes for professional multi-specialty E/M and surgical procedures following official coding and client guidelines
  • Analyzing and correcting CCI and Medical Necessity edits
  • Abstracting additional data elements during chart reviews
  • Adhering to AAPC/AHIMA ethical coding standards
  • Maintaining required coding quality and productivity levels
  • Providing documentation feedback and physician queries as needed
  • Participating in coding meetings and educational events
  • Keeping records of coded, held, or missing charts
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Salary is hourly ranging from $20.38 to $36.44 based on location, experience, and credentials, excluding bonuses and benefits. Telecommuters must adhere to company telecommuting policies.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Professional CPC coder certification from AHIMA and/or AAPC, maintained annually
  • Minimum 2 years coding experience in E/M and surgical coding
  • Adherence to ethical coding standards and productivity requirements
  • Ability to work remotely and comply with telecommuting policies
