UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, is seeking a Coding Specialist III to join their Revenue Cycle Department. This senior-level role involves independently performing advanced, accurate, and compliant coding of high-complexity surgical, procedural, and interventional specialties within a specialized academic medical environment. The position requires expertise in complex coding scenarios including multi-procedure operative cases, advanced payer rules, and teaching physician documentation compliance. The specialist will also support audit and denial escalation, evaluate AI-assisted coding exceptions, and collaborate with providers to ensure precise documentation and optimal reimbursement.
The role offers a hybrid work arrangement with work-from-home flexibility for candidates residing in Texas, preference given to those in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The schedule is a flex 8-hour day shift, Monday through Friday.

Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, federal and state regulations, payer policies, and proficiency with Epic or other EHR billing systems is necessary. The candidate must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, technology-enabled environment managing multiple priorities.
