Centennial Peaks Hospital

Centennial Peaks Hospital is seeking a Certified Medical Coder to join their Health Information Management (HIM) department in Louisville, CO. The coder will perform computer abstraction of inpatient and outpatient discharged patient records, provide documentation review, coding, and data abstraction to ensure appropriate reimbursement, regulatory compliance, and establish cooperative relationships with providers. The role focuses on ICD-10-CM coding with a preference for behavioral health coding experience and use of 3M Encoder and Hybrid Medical coding systems. The facility specializes in psychiatric services including Electroconvulsive Therapy and intensive outpatient programs.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • ICD-10-CM coding certification and RHIT Associate (AA) Degree or Certified Coding Specialist (preferred AHIMA certification)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a medical coder or equivalent education/experience combination
  • Behavioral health coding experience preferred
  • Experience with Health Information Management systems and Microsoft Office suite
  • Familiarity with 3M Encoder and Hybrid Medical coding software
  • Basic clerical skills and office equipment experience
