Supervisor, Audit & Coding Compliance

The Supervisor, Coding oversees daily operations of the coding team, ensuring accurate and compliant assignment of diagnosis and procedure codes across inpatient, outpatient, and professional services. This role supports the integrity of clinical documentation, optimizes reimbursement, and ensures compliance with regulatory and payer requirements. The Supervisor, Coding acts as a liaison amongst coding colleagues, clinical departments, and revenue cycle teams to promote consistency, quality, and efficiency in coding and charge capture processes.

Candidates must have an Associate's degree.

Certification required: Certified Professional Coder (CPC) from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) OR Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).

Experience requirements:

  • 3 years of coding experience OR 6 years coding experience with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of auditing experience strongly preferred
  • 1 year in a Supervisory, Team Lead, or Senior role
  • 1 year Health Information Management or medical practice experience

Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is essential.

Excellent communication, analytical, organizational skills, leadership capability, and ability to interpret complex regulatory guidelines are required.

Compensation includes a base pay range between $60,756.80 and $101,254.40 annually, with potential additional incentives such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonuses.
