As an Inpatient Coding Auditor in the Department of Coding/HIM at Tenet Health, you will audit medical coding and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with guidelines, regulations, and internal policies. You'll identify and investigate coding errors, collaborate with coding teams to provide education and implement corrective actions, maintain audit records, and generate reports to monitor performance. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's preferred), Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification, minimum 3 years healthcare coding experience, strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, familiarity with HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid requirements, strong communication and analytical skills, proficiency with coding software and EHR systems, and excellent organizational skills.
Compensation ranges approximately from $63,700 to $101,500 annually (equivalent of $30.60 to $48.80 hourly) and may include signing bonuses depending on eligibility.
