ColumbiaDoctors Medical Group / Ambulatory Medical Practices MSO, Inc., is seeking experienced Medical Certified Professional Coder / Charge Review Billing Specialist III candidates.
Candidates must hold CPC / Coding Certification and have a minimum of 7 years of experience. Epic EMR experience is strongly preferred. Candidates should have thorough knowledge and understanding of current coding guidelines across all insurance types and requirements and be knowledgeable in medical terminology and professional billing and coding to the highest specificity in CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10.
Familiarity with coding conventions and rules established by the American Medical Association (AMA) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for diagnostic and procedural codes (including CCI and LCD’s) is required. Understanding and compliance with HIPAA guidelines are mandatory.
New employees must complete Columbia University Code of Conduct and Billing Compliance training, as well as annual HIPAA and Billing Compliance refresher training.
Candidates must be able to communicate efficiently, professionally, and effectively. Remote and hybrid work options are accommodated based on department/team schedules.

This role supports multiple specialties including Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Endocrinology.

- CPC certification required
