As a Medical Records Coder IV, Lead, you will oversee office operations, administer personnel duties, liaise with hospital staff, coordinate daily work of coding staff, resolve coding problems, and ensure coding accuracy through data quality checks and corrective actions.
You will support priorities set by leaders, serve as a resource for staff, respond to complex requests and problems, train and assign work to new staff, and maintain professional relationships across the organization.
High School diploma or equivalent and minimum 3 years experience as Medical Coder required; Associate's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Advanced knowledge of ICD-10CM, CPT and HCPCS coding.
Working knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
Preferred certifications: AHIMA Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Professional Coder (CPC from AAPC), or Certified Medical Coder (CMC from PMI).
