IKS Health is seeking an experienced Inpatient Facility Medical Coder to review medical records, identify diagnoses and procedures, assign DRGs, and abstract information according to client guidelines. Responsibilities include using Aquity applications for real-time coding, soliciting clarifications from physicians, participating in training and coding roundtables, and maintaining up-to-date coding credentials (CCS, RHIA, or RHIT).
The role requires strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding, medical terminology, anatomy, and disease processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. This position supports a remote working environment with extended computer-based work.

- Minimum of 3 years recent inpatient coding experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience in acute care
- Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, surgical technology, pharmacology, and disease processes
- Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding principles and guidelines
- Knowledge of reimbursement systems, federal, state, and payor regulations
- Ability to pass inpatient coding proficiency test
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- High coding accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Google Suite
- Coding credentials required: CCS, RHIA, or RHIT
