The specialist will coordinate physician education, support audit responses, analyze record reviews, and deliver customized education programs to ensure accurate and compliant documentation.
The position requires strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, CM, HCPCS coding, industry guidelines, and physician documentation standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work with multiple EMR systems are necessary.
This role offers a 40-hour workweek, with a typical 8-hour day schedule. The position supports large group education sessions and collaborates closely with management on workflow, training, and compliance efforts.

- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in health information management preferred
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist-Physician-based (CCS-P) required
- Three years' experience in professional physician coding with monitoring and education experience
- Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, CM, and HCPCS coding
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of pathophysiology and disease processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to develop and deliver coding education programs
- Ability to work in environments with multiple EMR systems and independently
