Certified Medical Coder/Biller

We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Certified Medical Coder/Biller to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately coding medical diagnoses, procedures, and services to ensure proper billing and reimbursement. Your expertise will help streamline the revenue cycle process, improve compliance with healthcare regulations, and support the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include reviewing medical records to assign ICD-10 diagnosis codes, CPT procedure codes, and DRG classifications, ensuring coding complies with current guidelines and insurance requirements, preparing and submitting medical bills using EMR/EHR systems, following up on unpaid claims while maintaining privacy compliance, verifying patient insurance, resolving billing discrepancies, maintaining accurate and confidential medical records, and staying updated on coding standards.

Qualifications include proven experience in medical billing and coding within healthcare, certification as Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalent, strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, DRG, medical terminology, familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and insurance claims, attention to detail, knowledge of billing practices and collections, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Pay rate: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Flexible schedule available.

Work location: In person (office in Lilburn, GA).

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Proven experience in medical billing and coding within a healthcare setting
  • Certification as Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalent required
  • Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding, CPT, DRG classifications, and medical terminology
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and insurance claims process
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret complex medical documentation
  • Knowledge of medical billing practices, collections, and compliance standards
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff
  • Preferred: 1 year experience in Family Practice
  • Must be available to work in person, in office
