Lotus Billing specializes in revenue cycle management for substance use disorder (SUD) and behavioral health providers, managing billing to allow clients to focus on patient care.
The Biller is responsible for precise and timely submission of claims related to SUD treatment services including detox, residential, PHP, IOP, and OP. Key duties include submitting clean claims via Availity and CollabMD, applying correct CPT/HCPCS and revenue codes, verifying claims for accuracy before submission, correcting rejected claims promptly, coordinating authorizations and dates with Utilization Review and Admissions, posting payments, and maintaining organized billing records in KIPU.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: Medical billing experience in any specialty
- Strong plus: Experience in SUD/behavioral health billing
- Familiarity with UB-04 and HCFA-1500 forms is a plus
- Experience with Availity, CollabMD, KIPU, and Optum Pay is a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets and comfortable with billing software
- Hourly pay $20–$23
- Health insurance (60% employer-paid, up to $600/month)
