The Medical AR Specialist is responsible for managing accounts receivable billing and collection of payments for designated payers and locations. Tasks include claims submission, denial management, collection of insurance receivables, account adjustments, audits, payment posting, refunds, and patient communication. Additional duties include researching denials, monitoring AR balances, submitting appeals, verifying patient eligibility and benefits, and processing claims within timelines.
Knowledge of insurance processes, medical terminology, and coding. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Understanding of accounting codes and math skills. Accuracy in data entry and software usage. Strong problem solving, communication, and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
