We are seeking a highly motivated EMS Coding Specialist to join our healthcare team. You will be responsible for accurately coding emergency medical services (EMS) reports and medical records to ensure precise billing, reimbursement, and compliance.
Responsibilities include reviewing EMS reports using DRG, CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 codes; ensuring coding compliance with regulations and payer requirements; collaborating with billing and collection teams; maintaining records with privacy and data security; using EMR and EHR systems; staying updated on coding guidelines; and assisting in audits and quality assurance.
Required skills:
- Strong knowledge of DRG, CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 coding systems
- Proficiency in medical billing and collection processes
- Experience with EMR and EHR systems
- Excellent understanding of medical terminology and records management
- Ability to accurately interpret complex medical reports

The position is in-person, day shift, located in Caddo Mills, TX.

Pay range: $15 - $25 per hour.
