Behavioral Health Charge Entry Specialist

As a Remote Behavioral Health Charge Entry Specialist, you will ensure all patient visits are entered into the Practice Management System with accurate ICD-10 and CPT codes, navigating multiple EHR systems and insurance portals. This role requires independence, strong self-management, and a commitment to HIPAA compliance in a remote setting.

You will create charge batches from provider paperwork, enter demographic and charge data accurately, verify patient information and eligibility via insurance portals and EHRs, review insurance claims for accuracy before submission, and collaborate virtually with staff to resolve billing issues.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, prior healthcare billing or remote administrative experience (behavioral health preferred), proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Drive, knowledge of Behavioral Health CPT and ICD-10 coding, insurance authorization processes, strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and capability to meet high-volume productivity independently.

Remote technical requirements include a dedicated quiet workspace, high-speed internet supporting dual monitors, and reliability in handling sensitive patient data without supervision.
