- Minimum 20 hours and up to 40+ per week

- Valid AAPC or AHIMA coding credential required (CPC, CRC, COC, CCS, or CCS-P; Apprenticeship designations not accepted)
- Maintain a quality score of 95% or higher
- Maintain ongoing productivity level based on project requirements
- Review, analyze, and code patient medical records per client-specific guidelines
- Follow ICD-10-CM Coding Guidelines and interpret coding rules for accurate code assignment
- Apply Risk Adjustment Data Abstraction Rules
- Comply with privacy and security rules and protect confidential information including Personal Health Information
- Experience with EMRs, billing systems, abstraction platforms required
- Ability to work independently from home with reliable internet and phone
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to coordinate, analyze, make decisions, and meet deadlines
- May perform other duties as assigned
Physical demands include prolonged computer use, manual dexterity, ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally, and ability to handle stress during busy periods.
