Coding Analyst II

At Orlando Health, a large healthcare organization serving extensive inpatient and outpatient volumes, this position involves reviewing and analyzing hospital accounts failing coding and charge edits, including medical necessity and coding initiative edits. Responsibilities include performing root cause analysis, managing edit resolution workflows, ensuring compliance with ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS coding guidelines, interpreting coverage determinations, analyzing medical records for accurate charge capture, collaborating with clinical teams for documentation improvement, training team members, and providing education to maximize revenue opportunities. The role requires maintaining professional communication and adherence to organizational policies.

Candidates must have an associate's degree or equivalent work experience, proficiency in medical terminology, and certifications such as CPC, CCS, or CIRCC. At least five years of hospital coding or charging experience, strong PC and Excel skills, and preferably Epic system experience are required. The role demands excellent understanding of EMR systems and charge management.
