As a Billing Coordinator, you will join the Finance Department at their office in Toms River, NJ. The role is full-time with a starting salary range of $80,000 - $85,000 per year.
You will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing billing activities and staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with various payer rules including NJMHAPP, commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, state, county, and federal behavioral health payors. The position involves claim submission, timely follow-up on outstanding claims and denials, using payer portals and clearinghouses, managing patient statements and delinquent accounts, and serving as a liaison between billing, finance, and electronic health record implementation.
The role requires at least 3 years of behavioral health billing experience in a non-profit setting and supervisory experience, proficient knowledge of billing codes (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS), and familiarity with billing software and EHR/EMR systems. Preferred qualifications include billing certifications such as CPB or CMRS.
